Securing your X (Twitter) account with two-factor authentication can prevent hackers and unwanted access to your profile and private messages. In this guide, we will show you how to enable 2FA on your X (Twitter) account using the Authenticator App.
- Download and install the Authenticator App on your phone.
- Open the X (Twitter) app.
- Tap on your Profile in the top left corner.

- Now, tap on Settings and Support, then go to Settings and Privacy.

- Go to Security and Account Access.

- Tap on Security.

- Next, tap on Two-Factor Authentication.

- Select the Authentication App option.

- Tap on Get Started, then select Link on Another Device.

- On the next page, tap on Can’t Scan QR Code.

- Copy the 2FA code shown on X (Twitter).
- Open the Authenticator App.
- Tap the + icon in the lower right corner.

- Tap on Choose Alternative Method.

- Select Enter Key Manually.

- Assign a name for your X (Twitter) account.
- Paste the 2FA code you copied, then tap Add.

- Copy or take note of the 2FA code in the Authenticator App.
- Go back to X (Twitter) and tap on Enter Code.

- Paste the 2FA code from the Authenticator App, then tap Confirm.

- Two-Factor authentication for your X (Twitter) account is now enabled.
