Enabling two-factor authentication on your TikTok account adds an extra layer of security to your profile. In this guide, we’ll show you how to set up two-factor authentication on TikTok using the Authenticator App.
- Start by downloading the Authenticator App.

- After that, open the TikTok app.
- Tap on your Profile in the lower right corner.

- In your Profile, tap the Menu button in the upper right corner.

- Now, go to Settings and Privacy.

- Tap on Security & Permissions.

- Choose 2-Step Verification.

- Enable the Authenticator option.

- Tap on Turn On.
- Copy the 2FA code shown on TikTok.

- Open the Authenticator App, then tap the + icon.

- Tap on Choose Alternative Method.

- Select the Enter Key Manually option.

- Assign a name for your TikTok account. (whatever you prefer)
- Paste the 2FA key you copied from TikTok, then tap Add.

- Copy or remember the 2FA key in the Authenticator App.

- Go back to TikTok, then tap Next.

- Enter the verification code from the Authenticator App.

- When asked if you want to add a phone number and trusted device, tap Skip in the upper right corner.
